Pedagogical practice - respecting children's rights
A participatory research project involving children and pedagogues from across Hungary.
Led by academics from The Open University, UK and Debrecen University, Hungary.
Over the past 18 months we have been engaged in research with children and pedagogues in Kindergartens all over Hungary. We have researched children’s rights – how children express their rights and how those rights are listened to and interpreted by pedagogues.
We have partnered with the Vojtina theatre in Debrecen to produce a creative arts performance, which illustrates children’s voice, what they expressed through the research and the themes that came out of the process.
On the 20th October 2022 we held a one day conference at the Vojot theatre to showcase the creative arts performance and discuss the findings of the research.
