Outputs and Next Steps

We are planning a series of papers in 2023 based on the main study research.  In the meantime, here are the outputs we have already achieved and what we plant to do next.

October 2021

Relocating power in participatory research with children advocating participatory research

Presentation at the Reconnect: Recollect project conference at the Hungarian hub, one of 5 venues (Finland, Hungary, Germany, Atlanta, USA, South Africa) synchronously involving 250 artists, researchers and activists for regional participants. 

November 2021

Critical conversations: Children young people at the heart of research

National online presentation for the Children’s Research Centre, attended by 92 practitioners, local policy makers and academics including from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Canada and Brazil. 

January 2022

National Kindergarten Pedagogue Network

Presentation at the National Kindergarten Pedagogue Network conference, Hungary highlighting the significance of a listening pedagogy to a practitioner audience, well positioned to take this pedagogy forward. 

August 2022

Children's Rights in Hungary

Conference presentation as part of an OU-organised symposium ‘Framing Play in the UK and Hungary’, EECERA conference, Glasgow to an international audience of researchers and practitioners examining the influence of children’s interactions with adults to navigate their development.

Next Steps

Curriculum Supplement - Children's Rights

Based on the findings from the 'It's so good to be!' research project we are in the process of writing a curriculum supplement to accompany the Hungarian core programme.  This will focus on children's rights.
 

Puppet Theatre Show 'It's so good just to be!'

The full Vojtina puppet theatre show will premiere on Children's Rights Day in Novmember 2023.
